Ron is now retired from the workforce & is enjoying life relaxing in his retirement cottage in That Phanom, Thailand, pursuing leisure activities

In semi-retirement, he was in a representative role as Honorary Consul of Australia in Chiang Mai, offering client services with jurisdiction throughout the 11 Northern Thailand provinces.  His role provided some consular assistance to Australians, promoted the Australian-Thailand bilateral relationships, and supported the Australian Embassy in the consular district.

His prior careers of 45 years were in aviation operations, protective security services and public safety with over 30 years’ senior leadership experience across multiple sectors in dynamic, complex environments.

A service oriented strategic and tactical thinker, Ron has led many organisational changes, delivering significant business improvements operationally, financially, culturally and politically. This has been achieved through progressive thinking, tenacity and the ability to understand long term vision.
