We are absolutely devastated and very sad at loosing our great mate & wonderful companion Lex. We had to be in Bangkok for some medical matters, so both Lex (our cream golden retriever) and Izzy (our Pomeranian) were boarding for a few days with a Vet Hospital in Nakhon Phanom, that we had used before.

We received an unfortunate evening phone call on Monday, 19 July 25 from the Vet to advise that Lex had been found deceased in his room. Apparently he had eaten dinner, gone outside for exercise/ toilet and went to sleep on his bed. When the staff went to check on him later, he had passed away.
Lex was almost 12 years old, but to our knowledge was in good health. We had noticed recently that he was showing signs of age. He didn’t want to go for long walks outside the property anymore, & slept considerable amount of time through the day and night. He still seemed happy and enjoyed going out in our large yard to play. This has made the lose so much more difficult to fathom.
We cut our trip short to Bangkok, returning home to collect our beloved boy and bury him in a grave on the property, so we can still be close to each other. He was given a formal farewell by Monks from our local temple today (24/7/25) with some Buddhist rituals. It will take time for this loss to heal. We were very close to our friend Lex – being retired and around each other every day made the bond very strong.
Rest in Peace my friend
