The planned Anzac Dawn Service 2021 event, hosted by the House of Praise in Chiang Mai, has been cancelled due to the increasing Covid19 spread, declared red zone for Chiang Mai and introduction of various restrictions by the Government, including for events, over the period 16 to 30 April.

On 25 April 1915, members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps landed on Gallipoli. On the anniversary of this day each year, we pause to honor the service and sacrifice of all our veterans who have served in wars, conflicts, and peace operations. The picture in this post is courtesy of the Australian Department of Veterans Affairs, which has created the poster to commemorate 104 years of Anzac Day celebrations to help remember and recognise the contributions of all Australians during the war.

This is the 2nd year in a row that this event in Chiang Mai has had to be cancelled due to public health orders and restrictions. I am sure you can appreciate that the host for this event needs to comply with the Thai Government orders and recommendations. Let’s see what next year has in store for us?
