Australian Embassy consular staff will be conducting the next outreach program to Chiang Mai on 14 June 2019 at the Le Meridien Hotel. It will operate between 9am to 12pm. An appointment is not required (first come, first served queue system).
Notarial and passport services will be available. Please refer to our website for advice on what notarial services we can and cannot provide –
Statutory declarations can only be witnessed if they are for use in Australia only. Income declarations for Thailand visa extensions or renewals WILL NOT be available.
While Embassy staff can accept applications for a Certificate of No Impediment and take the fee, we cannot issue the Certificate of No Impediment at the outreach. Applications will be processed upon our return to Bangkok and posted to you soon after. Embassy Outreach staff will not have facilities to make photocopies of any documents so please bring copies with you if that’s required for your passport or notarial service.
FEES – All fees must be paid by debit or credit card only. The Outreach is unable to take cash.
Australian passport applications can also be lodged with the Honorary Consul, Chiang Mai – by appointment only – usually Tuesday & Wednesday. Please contact the Australian Consulate Chiang Mai – (Monday to Thursday 9 am to 12 noon) – on 091 857 6996 or by email – email@example.com – to book an appointment.
For information on the requirements to lodge a passport application, please refer to Australian Passports section on the Embassy’s web page. It is important to note that you need to allow a minimum of four weeks for the passport to be processed and returned to you.
The Australian Embassy in Bangkok remains available for the lodgement of passport applications and notarial services. An appointment is required for these services at the Embassy in Bangkok. Please refer to the Appointment Booking page on our website for further information.
